Compatibility: Newer S model versus original?

All:  The radio "half" of my RRC setup (the module without the CW pot) was damaged by lightening recently but the control module RRC-1258 MkII was not harmed.  If I purchase the newer 1258 MkII-S module for the radio side, will the two units be compatible?
