TS-480SAT and AUX/MIC Configuration
« on: 2012-12-25, 13:17:34 »
Hello all,
i just bought a new TS-480SAT (serial B2A000xx) and wanted to get it work with my pair of RRC-1258MKIIs bought in early 2011.
Now itīs nearly done, but the standard dynamic microfone is not working in any way.
I wonder if the configuration of the Hardware configuration of the control and radio unit shown in user manual A26 - 2012 Nov 06 at page 174 and 175 (for Kenwood TS-480) are really correct?
I would think the pins and numbers shown in the pictures are mixed up.

Does anyone have other informations or can help me put the colored jumpers the right way?
Doing the jumpers like shown is not working at all.  :(

mny tnx, uli DK8NE

The intruction are correct, My guess is that more than 50% of the Remoterig user are using the ts-480. Be sure that you have turned the box correct before you put the red wires in place, check the picture in the manual. Also check that the straps are not broken, with an ohm-meter, they can be broken inside the red isolation.
