I just set up mine old FT100 with the Remoterig Set i bought for my K3. I will use the FT100 until K3/0 Mini is available and the remote head operation is quite impressive.
I discovered a odd behavior. If i connect a external USB Serial Converter to Com2 on control side and a self made interface for the FT100 on Com2 on radio side Communication the CAT control works well in char-timeout mode as well as Char-by-char mode.
If i use the virtual vomport, just the char-by-char mode works. I'm testing in the moment in my home LAN, so there isn't a issue on this and later on the radio side will be connected to university LAN so i guess this will also work. It is just a question if i'm missing something here. Does someone has an idea?
