Hi

Have you set the Radio-RRC as DMZ server in the radio QTH router or made portforwarding for the ports 80,5061,11000,12000. Also check that you do NOT have anything called SIP ALG activated in the routers.

the radio-rrc is set to DMZ (192.162.1.228)
I have the 11000, 12000 and 5061 ports forwarded. There is no slots left for port 80 (my IRLP, wires node and a VZW network extender takes up the rest)
I am using a linksys WCG200 ver.2 cable modem/router
I do not see any ref to SIP ALG in the setup, but I do have vonage VOIP service.
DYNDNS seems to be working ok.

I have checked the straps and jumpers.  THe two RRC units seem to talk to each other over the net.

I do appreciate your help.

Hi

If it works locally, the strapping is OK and it's only a router issue. The only thing need to be changed in the Control-RRC is the SIP contact, replaced with the external IP or DynDns of the radio QTH router. I recommend you to change the webserver port of the Radio-RRC to 8000 so you can access the webserver remotely, if it works the other things should work also. Also check the firmware of the routers. Specially D-link routers need to have a quite new firmware if the DMZ or portforwarding should work OK.

Still no joy.

I did notice that when I press the power button on the control head the SIP LED goes off.

I reset everything to default and still get the same result.

It has to be something simple, but I still can not see it.

Re: 706 startup not quite correct - CORRECTED

CORRECTED

Just tback of travel, and have the remote rig setup working.

The problem was simple over site and improper baud rate on COM0. Reset it to 19200 and things work like a champ.
