Ff the IC-706 can be controlled but the display do not light up, it's beacuse the data signal from the radio to the front panel is not comming trough. Probably caused by a bad soldering in the OPC- cable or a bad red strap in one of the RRC:. s Check with an ohm meter that the red straps LRXD is not broken in one of the units.
