Power off when volume over 40%

Hi There. I have the remoterig RRC-1258 MkII to work my kenwood Ts-2000X. I have it for over a year now and its very good. I have only the following problem. When i open my audio (volume) Control over the 40% the device lose his brightness and  it swiching off and come back after 1 second....They swich off both (TS-2000X and RC-2000) It looks like not having the enough voltage.Is it a problem of hardware or i can fix it throw the settings of the device?

Have you done this ?

JMP-2 which is placed near the back of the RRC next to the RESET button. JMP-2
is used to select if the DC-power to the front panels should be 8 or 9 V. With the strap in
place it will be 8V, which fits all ICOM radios. Without the strap the voltage will be 9V, which
fits Kenwood TS-480 and RC-2000 panels that need 9V for the back-lighter.

also check that your power supply can deliver enough power

Hi Mike and thanks for the replay....I try it and nothink happens...this problem is still....I dont know if this a problem and has a damage somewere....Here in greece we dont have retailer or destribitor with service to take an opinion....

I have the same problem with the same radio (TS-2000 and RC-2000). My solution was to purchase an amplified speaker. Nothing else worked. It seems to me the problem is somewhat recent. I don't recall having it last year.
