Confused by wiring the RJ11 RJ12 Modular plugs
« on: 2010-10-25, 17:01:25 »
Hi all,
in the wiring schemes the modular plugs are shown on one side with the locking clip (let's say upper side)  and on the other side of the cable with the contact-pins? (bottom-side)
But the numbers of the contact in both cases are nubered from 1-6

Does that mean wireing from pin2 to pin2 is crossed and in reality it means from Pin 2/6 to Pin 4/6 if I take normative numbering of Pins??????

Meanwhile by "TRY AND ERROR" I found out, that the wiring diagram is numbering not corresponding to the norm, but according to the drawing. One side upper view; one side bottom view.

To make the confusing at minimum we have used the RJ45 LAN cable standard numbering on all modular connectors. I have not seen any standard for 4/4, 4/6 and 6/6 modular
