Using Second NANO app
« on: 2016-03-04, 18:40:38 »
I'm using for long NANO KENWOOD app to control my TS480 radio. A ham friend of mine will use also NANO app to control his TS480 as well.
How can I control from my phone his TS480 as well? Shall I buy another NANO app or is this configuration NOT possible altogether??

You will have to enter his SIP contact and ports (if different) into the Nano app every time you wish to
use the other RRC. This is a big pain and causes me a lot of hassle. The solution is to implement profiles,
but I requested that a long time ago and it hasn't been implemented yet.

KS Mitch.
Tnx for info.
Such solution is problematic indeed, so we maybe have to wait for implementation of profiles on NANO app, as you proposed.

I know you (and others) want it all, and not only all - but also "now" ;) We are doing our best to add the requested features you people want, but our resources are not exactly those of Google etc  8)

There is a Nano-Kenwood beta(1.5.0) available here:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/se.microbit.kenwood

that contains both antenna selection and tuning, as well as radio site profiles(being able to save multiple sites without having to re-enter the connection info)

Between other priorities and the remote stations being used by others for the two DXpeditions,
I have not been able to do a full test. It looked good, however, as I was able to add the second
station and toggle between them. The only problem I had was that I still can not exit the app, it
did not exit using the Android back button and there is no exit menu item.

Once things settle down in a few days, I can test more, but it looks good so far.

Not being able to exit using the Android back button is how it's supposed to be in order to avoid closing the app accidentally, but an exit menu/button feels like a good idea.
