7100 Data Modes
« on: 2016-03-21, 20:28:23 »
Hi,
Is there a way to transmit using JT65-HF on the IC7100. I can obviously receive via the audio out jack on the head end but the data connectors are on the radio side. I have remote CAT control set up so can probably get PTT to work but short of messing with the mic connector I can't see a way to get audio in.

Hi

I do not now much about JT-65 but isn't it possible to use the mic audio path in the Remoterig system in the same way as for PSK-31 ?

Thanks for the hint. Actually I've not used any data modes with remoterig so yes the same method should work. Could you explain how to use the mic audio path. I can't find any reference in the documentation to that.

Hi

With the IC-7100 you connect to the mic input of the IC-7100 frontpanel,Where the mic is normally connected. See IC-7100 manual about how it's configured. Below is a link to how it can be done with the IC-706, it's almost the same situation
