Can't connect via internal webserver...

I have used Setup Manager to successfully upgrade the firmware in both my Radio and Control boxes to version 2.26.  When I go to the Net info tab and select Get, it shows the default values.  When I select Browse Unit, Internet Explorer comes up but after a brief period says that it can't display webpage.

Any ideas why I can't access the internal webserver in either unit?

I am connecting to each box with the USB cable.

Does the Remoterig box have to be connected to the internet to communicate with its internal webserver?

Should I be able to communicate with either box by connecting a Cat-5 cable directly from the PC to the Ethernet connection on the box?

What are the minimum connections to communicate with the internal webserver?

The USB cable must be used to change the box to either a fixed internal
IP address for your subnet, or to DHCP to get an address from your
router automatically.

After you change it, you then must put the ethernet cable between
the box and your network and enter the internal IP address of the box.

If DHCP,  you may need to read this address in the DHCP table in
your router, unless you have few devices connected and can guess it
(e.g. 192.168.1.10, 192.168.1.11, etc.)

It will not work unless you change the IP address or to DHCP first, since
the default IP address will not work in your network (unless you have subnet
192.168.0.xx), nor will it work when you directly connect the box to your PC.

Note to Mike: there seem to be a lot of standard networking questions
that pop-up, it would make a lot of sense to add a network FAQ to the
manual. Your setup section does not appear to be enough.

After reading back through the manual, I realize the need to first connect each box to the same local network that your PC is connected for initial programming.  I was assuming that I should be able to connect directly to each box for access to their internal webservers without being connected to the internet.  I will try again tonight after work.

It would be very helpful to have a YouTube video for each phase of the setup.
