« on: 2017-03-08, 07:30:19 »
My remote setup was working fine untill 2-3 last weeks.
For a reason that Im not know the connection between Control
and Remote loost from time to time but the audio pass with fair results as my Internet is not so fast.
Then, the connection problem come more and more unstable and the audio dissappears.
I buy the the Nano app for my smartphone and the audio pass and work fine but no on my Control box speaker.
I make many combinations but nothing. Here is my setup:

I can tell with 99.9% probability for sure what the problem is not....it is for sure not the RRC.

For some reason I have never been able to figure out, people always immediately blame the RRC system
when things stop working. However, these boxes are very robust and very rarely fail. When they do, it has
usually been due to a power surge, such as from a thunderstorm.

The problem is to be found in the environment, for example:
- There is a "hang-up" somewhere in the network (like a clogged water drain, it happens all the time for a number of reasons)
- A cable is loose, unplugged or even went bad (I have even seen ethernet cables turn bad)
- The internet provider changed something
- A router or switch went bad (yes, I have seen switches turn bad)
- etc.

How to look for the problem:
- First restart everything: router, RRC, etc. on both the control and radio sides
- If that didn't solve the problem, look for loose or bad components
- Try changing UDP ports, especially if one is mentioned in an error message on the RRC's status page
- If it still doesn't work, check the following: http://www.remoterig.com/forum/index.php?topic=2768.msg12490#msg12490
(note that this is not your problem, but I added it for the sake of completion)

I hope this helps.

Mitch DJ0QN / K7DX
