PC Client
« on: 2010-12-31, 22:14:58 »
I have installed latest firmware to 1258 II and pc client.  I can connect from 1258 to 1258 using DNS or local lan.  Rig is IC706 MK II G.  I have set my audio to 0-alaw 8 khz.  I have tried exhaustively to get the pc client to connect to remote end.  I see on the webpage that sip status shows connected and transferring and other party has correct ip address.  I can't get any audo to transfer.  I have tried the 1274 and the local sound card.  I am at a loss of what to try next.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
N7AIL

Remember that when using IC-706 this way you must use as a a standard ICOM rig.

Meaning
- the frontpanel should be connected to the radio.
- separate CAT-cable should be connected
- separate Speaker audio cable should be connected.
- separate Mic cable should be connected
- The straps should be set for ICOM in general.

Ok, thanks for the tip.  I still have the ICOM remoted.  I will rewire this and try again.  It kind of defeats what I wanted to do so I will try to hook up my flex radio instead.  Is anyone got a blog on hooking remote rig to a flex 5000?
