Remoterig out of business?
« on: 2022-02-05, 17:34:58 »
Hello,

I contacted the US distributor (Ham Radio Outlet) about ordering a Wi-Fi interface along with a set of Remoterigs, and they said “Remoterig is no more, and has stopped production” and that they were just selling their remaining inventory.

Is this true?

That's not true, but as many other Microbit/Remoterig has suffered from the common component  shortage in the world, which has delayed the production during 2021.  But the comming week Remoterig units are on the way in so the distributors which have pending orders will have their units in stock in a few weeks

HRO New Castle says they are selling off accessory inventory only and not restocking.

You may be shipping to someplace, but it seems there is not a USA based stocking distributor anymore.

If that's case I'll need to look for a different approach to remote operation though I like what I know of yours the best.

Please advise if you will be (or already are) shipping to a USA based distributor.

Hi All,
I chatted with Mike about this and he says that HRO is a distributor but has not ordered any units from RemoteRig.
I did however order a set through the UK distributor and they are in stock. You pay a little more for shipping but received the units in two days to my address in CA.
We live in a global market place so dont be shy going this route.

Good Luck to you all

Not anymore. Out of stock there, with no ETA.

I have a broken Radio end due to a EMP discharge.

I've reached out to RR, but no reply sadly.

Does anyone know, under Right to Repair how to find a schematic?
