TTL not having 8Volts
« on: 2023-04-29, 17:19:49 »
On my control unit Im trying to attache a Kenwood face (RC-2000). It is not working. In trouble shooting I note that pin 2 (or any pin for that matter) has 8v. What am I missing?

8V is switched so it will only be there if the programmode says it should be ON. In some modes it's off until the connection is up and the radio starts. I don't remeber how it is in  TS-2000 mode (pgm mode 8) im sure 8V is always ON in pgm mode 5 if you wan to test

Thanks for the reply. But didnt solve the issue. When I pick mode 5 for instance the CONNECT button is removed wanting b=me to use the power button on the face unit but still no 8 Volts on pin 2 (or again any pin). Pin 4 has a little, about 2-3v though.

If there is no 8V at the TTL jack pin 2 if you set it to mode 5 then the unit is broken and there will not be any power to RC-2000 either.

I can't say that I have seen it before but probably T5 NTR1P02T1 is broken
