Sudden Failure
« on: 2024-01-06, 09:37:30 »
I have two RRC 1258 MKll at the same location.  Both run software 2.95 and bootloader 1.9.

Radios are Kenwoods,TS480 on RRC1 port 84 and D710 on RRC2 port 85.  Everything has been working fine for several years but the TS480 stopped connecting.  Both 1258 boxes at the control end have profiles for both radios so I swapped them and found both would connect to the D710 but neither would connect to the TS480.

A visit to the radio site found one 1258 locked up and requiring a password.  The factory reset button fixed the lockup.  Both radios were  working okay.

Next day, TS480 stopped connecting again.  I can access RRC2 remotely but RRC1 is only reachable from the local network.

I have tried changing port settings but RRC1 seems invisible outside of the local network.  I always change port forwarding to match the RRC.

I am looking for suggestions.
