I followed instructions and set the COM port to 9600 8n1. I have not been able to get HRD or Icom's RS-BA1 software to work with the remote radio. When it does, it's VERY slow and HRD doesn't even show the S-meter
This works:
IC7100 control head (CI-V set to 9600) --> RR1258 --> router+MODEM+Internet --> RR1258 --> IC7100 radio
This struggles and almost never works:
Computer w/HRD ot RS-BA1 (COM 7 at 9600 8n1) --> USB port RR1258 --> router+MODEM+Internet --> RR1258 COM 2 --> Icom CT-17 (RS232 to CI-V) --> IC7100 radio (remote jack)
- Does your remote woirk at 9600 bps? Or do you set the radio, computer and RR to higher? If so, what data rate?
- If faster, will the Icom CT-17 recognize the change or do I need to changer any internal settings/jumpers?
