CW Keying
« on: 2011-06-09, 02:25:13 »
Most things working now.

I notice that when using the external key input that the longest dash is about one second. This is not a big problem by any means, but I wonder if this is normal behaviour?

Thanks

Roger

Hi

It's there of a security reason to protect against TX-hanging if Internet fails.

Oh man! Today I have spent whole morning trying to identify why I could not transmit longer than a second in CW mode (using straight key). Read almost everything in manual and looking to the forum and finally I have just read there is a security reason,  :o That is good but, it could be better if a warning were written somewhere in the manual.

I used to be use CW mode to tune and check my antenna in the past (when no RR). Now I have learnt something more about my TS-480 menuses and RR,  :P
