Power-up issue with TM-D710
« on: 2011-09-04, 09:33:00 »
Hi all,

I'm using the RRC's to operate a TM-D710. It works great. But every now and then, the display wont power-up properly when I push the "on" button. I get the "roger beep", but the display stays dark and no info is visible. The quick fix is to reset the local RRC box by killing the power. Then it works great again for a few times. This might happen every fourth or fifth time I try to turn it on.

I'm using the latest FW...

Any suggestions what I could do?

Regards,

Does it make any difference if you keep the on button pressed a little longer?
Always include type of hard/software and version when asking for support.

Will try. Is this a known bug?

Not a bug in the RRC, but a behaviour some radios have.
Always include type of hard/software and version when asking for support.

I have the same issue every once in a while with the TM-D710A.  I usually power off/unplug the RRC-Control and let it sit for 2 minutes and the plug it back and its fine.  I figured it was a connection issue, glad to hear it's not the RRC boxes.

Hi

I use TM-D710 my self. I have also seen that if the disconnection is caused by Internet failure, then you can get in trouble when trying to connect from the button. A reboot of the Radio-RRC can be needed. We will look in to that when we get time. I don't think it's a mayor issue.
