Ground problems at COM2 (very early units)

A very few sets of the first production batch from 2009 had this error, and all customers which had units with this error are informed individually by email.
—————————————————————————————————-
We have found out that in one batch of the RRC-1258MkII there has been
an error in the SMD process (Surface Mount Devices).

The 0 ohm jumpers (R18 resp R40) which should connect COM-2 Pin 5
to electrical ground is exchanged between the Control and Radio, meaning that Pin5 is not
connected to electrical ground in either Control or Radio Box.

In most cases COM-2 is working anyway, it has to do with how the grounding is done in the
equipment connected to the RRC:s

Anyway the solution is very simple and I recommend everyone who use COM-2 to make the modification

——————————————————————————————————————————————————
1. In control RRC

Solder a short wire in place of missing zero ohm surface mount resistor, marked R40 in the picture below.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————
2. In Radio RRC

Solder a short wire in place of missing zero ohm surface mount resistor, marked R18 in the picture below.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————
To conclude

– R18 should be mounted in Radio RRC

R40 should be mounted in Control RRC

– Both can also be mounted without problem

R40 should be mounted in
