Web-based remote control for ACOM-2000A, Expert 1K-FA, Elecraft KPA500, SteppIR

RC-1216H is developed especially for remote control of Amateur radio accessories like Antennas, Power Amplifiers and rotators via the Internet in a user-friendly and cost-effective way. Lot of radio accessories are designed to be controlled from a PC via a serial port (RS-232). Serial ports are not very convenient to transfer over the Internet. The RC-1216H acts as PC against the connected equipment at the same time as it shows a more user friendly web based user interface for the operator. The web interface is much more convenient to use over the Internet as no special software need to be installed in the PC and it can be reach from any Internet connected PC or any other device with a webbrowser like a smartphones, pads etc. around the world. For the moment the Remote control RC-1216H can be configured to control SteppIR antennas, the ACOM-2000A, Expert 1K-FA, and Elecraft KPA500 Power Amps.

Rotator Control Unit 1216L

To create a web based rotator control the Rotator control Unit (RCU) is connected to the Webswitch 1216H. The RCU is connected via the 1-wire bus to the webswitch. The RCU has three 16A relays for CW and CCW rotation and for break control. For the the azimuth (direction) reading there is  A/D input which handles 0-15V. The A/D input is fully issolated. The RCU can be connected to most of the current available rotators  and rotating tower controls. The indicatior can be calibrated every 30 degrees to handle potentiometers which is not linear.

When using the Webswitch 1216H and the RCU 1216L you do not need to use the RRC-serial ports for rotator control

CI-V Interface

The Interface is primarly design to be used when you want to control a IC-7100 via the CI-V interface at the same time as you use the frontpanel. It’s also useful if you want to use the RRC-Nano App with IC-7100. Of course it can also be used for any ICOM radio if you want to connect it to  RRC com2.

The interface is built in into a normal D-sub Housing and provide cables for CI-V, 12V DC-Input and 12V DC output

RF-protection filter for DSL-modems

NOT IN PRODUCTION ANYMORE

This LP-filter protects DSL-modems from RF-Interference caused by RF from your transmitter. Specially when transmitting on 160m and 80m it’s very common that the RF cause interference or even make the DSL-modem to reset.

The attenuation is >40dB on 160m and >60dB on 80m.

You just connected it between the DSL-splitter and the modem. Move the RJ12 connector from the modem to the filter “Line” jack and connect the short cable with RJ12 connectors (included) between the “Modem” jack and the modem.
